Illinois Department of Transportation Collision Diagrams
The Illinois Department of Transportation Collision Diagrams provide detailed information regarding traffic accidents. These reports include date and time, weather, light, road conditions, fatalities and injuries, vehicle types, maneuver, event detail, and location of accidents. The Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety, produced the collision diagrams linked on the Four County Highway Coalition’s website.
Traffic Crash Report forms are printed and furnished by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Office of Planning & Programming, Bureau of Data Collection. The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) provides the Illinois Traffic Crash Report SR 1050 Instruction Manual for Law Enforcement Agencies. This manual addresses the SR 1050 crash form and offers clarifications and examples which should assist investigating officers in completing the SR 1050.

Therefore, location data may vary in previous years since data prior to 2015 was physically located by bureau personnel.
