Pinckneyville to Murphysboro
Under the Congressionally Directed Spending Program, Dr. Marc Kiehna, Chairman of the Randolph County Commissioners and also Chairman of the Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force, has applied for 210 million dollars to help complete the Murphysboro-to-Pinckneyville section of the Southwest Illinois Connector Rural Expressway. Phase II contract plans and specifications are 70% prepared for the southern segment from Murphysboro to the South of Vergennes.
Funding Request: Construction and Land Acquisition funds for the 4-lane expansion of IL 13/127 from Murphysboro to Pinckneyville. Phase I engineering and environmental studies are complete.
